Overview / Background of the NIU Student Forum

The ASCM NIU Student Forum is focusing on improving student's member experience through meetings, plant tours, other events during each school year. The Leadership Program is a program that will help students build their leadership skills, teamwork skills, and communication skills through planning and running different events during the semester.

Meetings and Events

The ASCM NIU Forum offers Professional Development Meetings (PDM) with the parent chapter to help the students meet with working professionals and understand the business environment. It is a great place to network and build relations with the top leaders from local companies.

Apart from this, the NIU Student Forum also offers student PDM's in the NIU College of Business every semester and the speakers in these PDM’s present current business topics related information.

There are also plant tours and mentorship programs that allow students to see how the companies operate and better prepare them for decision making in future jobs.
