About the ASCM Chicagoland Chapter

The ASCM Chicagoland Chapter represents companies, and provides services to its members in the Chicago area. Established in 1977, the Chicagoland Chapter is the recipient of the highest award given by ASCM worldwide, the Platinum Award, for over 20 consecutive years. We are the leading supply chain and operations management education provider in the Chicagoland area.  The ASCM Chicagoland Chapter promotes ASCM goals by providing networking resources, monthly professional development meetings, certification and educational classes, and publications to members and their companies that lead to improved profits, advance their professional knowledge, and promote career advancement.

Monthly Meetings

The ASCM Chicagoland Chapter hosts dinner meetings and plant tours to provide networking, best practice sharing, and benchmarking opportunities for Chicago area supply chain professionals. Non-members are welcome, and encouraged to attend.

APICS Certifications

APICS’ world-renowned certification programs provide operations management professionals with relevant, essential education, and equips them for today’s fast-changing marketplace.  APICS offers certification programs to meet the needs of supply chain professionals. 

CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management): An in-depth understanding of internal operations. CPIM focuses on improving operations with the four walls of your organization.

  • CPIM Modules include Basics of Supply Chain Management, Master Planning of Resources, Detailed Scheduling and Planning, Execution and Control of Operations, and Strategic Management of Resources

CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional): A broad view of your company’s entire global supply chain. CSCP looks at optimizing the entire supply chain, including upstream suppliers and downstream customers.

CLTD (Certified in Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics):  CLTD addresses the challenges and complexities with today's global transportation, distribution and logistics networks.

  • The ASCM Chicagoland Chapter offers training in Lean, Six Sigma, Problem Solving, Project Management, Quantitative Forecasting, Quality, Manufacturing.

 

Training Options

  • Public classes - Attend local chapter offered certification review classes on an individual basis. Courses currently being offered in an online synchronous format.
  • In-house - Consider a group on-site certification review classes at your company if you have several students that will be attending the course.
